 My Love, Passion, and Desire of teaching (not only swimming) led me to attaining my Master's degree in Elementary Education at Old Dominion University. Although this led to me to a classroom setting in 2013, my hunger to be in and around water kept me at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club and coaching at Nansemond Suffolk Academy and Cape Henry Collegiate.

In 2015...I Took a Leap of Faith, followed my Heart, and discovered my SwimSafe Mission to help others...

Parent's Night-Out

Exclusively at The Founders Inn & Spa

A premium service designed entertain and educate children while creating time for parents to wind down from the day. Exclusively tailored during the dinnertime hour, enhancing the experience for both child and parent.

 SwimSafe’s Parent's Night Out program generates the atmosphere of the ocean, beach culture, and safety knowledge in the comfort (and peace of mind) of the hotel pool.

Ages 7-13 years of age

*Beach Ambassador certificate upon completion

Private Instruction

Our premium services do include private instruction at our participating hotel sponsors -  encompassing the convenience, comfort, and safety while on vacation.

We can reserve a time and a date that best works for parent and child, simply call 757.971.3637 for further details.

First Time (Ocean) Swimmers and Boogie Boarders

This course is designed specifically for the 'first-time' ocean swimmer or boogie boarder.  This 45 minute program is tailored for children who can swim and want to learn how to swim safely in the ocean water.

Minimum Age is 7 years old

SWIMSAFE Mascots

The SwimSafe Mascot course is designed to improve and/or take children's' ocean swimming knowledge to the next level. This 45 minute program is tailored for those who swim often in the water Minimum age is 7 years old

SWIMSAFe Aces

The SwimSafe Aces course is designed for the boogie boarding and soul surfer in all of us. This 45 minute program is designed to enhance current knowledge and increase ocean awareness.

Minimum age is 13 years old
